Research
Qatar National Research Fund created in 2006 by Qatar Foundation recognizes research as essential to the economic growth ofany dynamic society. Therefore, QNRF provides opportunities for researchers at all levels from students to professionals. The following programs have been established and are funded by QNRF to achieve these missions and goals.
National Priorities Research Program (NPRP):
Eleven science faculty submitted their request for proposals (RFP) at the first NPRP cycle in 2007. Seven proposals won the awards.

Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP):
Some research proposals which have been submitted at the first and second UREP cycle byscience faculty have been awarded the UREP grants. Theseawards include TAMUQ facultyresearchers as well as Texas A&M University at Qatar students. The UREP program provides excellent opportunity to undergraduate students to experience research.
